In others, the implementation of different program activities seek to preserve wildlife ecosystems of interest, flora and fauna both within and outside protected areas. However, hunting, mining and illegal possession of wildlife is a serious problem, as thousands of animals annually are killed or captured as pets, to be victims of maltreatment, abuse and possession in inadequate conditions.

Moreover, wild flora species are removed from their natural habitat, bringing deterioration of ecosystems and species often lead to difficult conditions for their survival.

These activities have led to many wild animals are in danger of extinction or very small populations. Such as the jaguar, tapir, peccary, wild boar, among others. Similarly flora species such as reed spoon, tree fern, the wild palm, royal palms, orchids, bromeliads, among others, to encounter some degree of threat.
