Overview:

The volunteer service is provided to support the management of protected areas within the Conservation Area La Amistad Pacífico (ACLA-P), including buffer zones is performed by individuals as individuals, members of local community organizations or groups, as well as organizations and institutions, international, national and regional organization and implementation of voluntary, under the administration of SINAC.

Volunteer services pose to our conservation area important and indispensable source of support to strengthen the conservation of existing resources in the protected areas.
The actions developed through volunteering require proper organization and coordination with the various agencies, institutions or organizations, national or international, community associations and individuals.
Most voluntary actions are developed in different Protected Areas of Conservation Area and we are more focused on maintenance activities, health and safety to visitors, and activities related to protection and control of natural resources, without leaving those volunteers (as) that enter the ACLA-P with the aim of developing a project specific research or practice.
 
 
 
Objetive:
Having a document used to regulate and direct the collaboration of volunteer human resources in the Conservation Area La Amistad Pacífico (ACLA-P) to support the implementation of actions under different management programs Protected Areas.
 
Other relevant for the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC) and for the  Conservation Area La Amistad Pacífico (ACLA-P)defines the concept of volunteerism as follows:
  • Voluntarios de organizaciones e instituciones internacionales, nacionales y regionales: Son personas vinculadas con organizaciones e instituciones que, captan voluntarios a nivel internacional, nacional o en una región determinada dentro del país, para desarrollar acciones de voluntariado en cualquiera de las áreas silvestres protegidas  a nivel nacional o dentro de una región en particular.
  • Voluntarios de organizaciones o grupos comunitarios locales: son aquellos que pertenecen a Organizaciones o grupos comunitarios que captan gente de la localidad y que tienen una relación estrecha con algún área silvestre protegida vecina en la que se desarrollan acciones de voluntariado.
  • Voluntario particular: son personas que llegan individualmente al área silvestre protegida, a ofrecer sus servicios de voluntariado y que no forman parte de ninguna de las anteriores organizaciones, grupos o instituciones.
