Is responsible for leading the regional level, implementation of policies and procedures for the prevention and management of fire within the State NaturalHeritage.

Within the coordination of this program is managing the actions of prevention andcontrol of forest fires, and those actions aimed at educating local residents aboutproper use techniques of fire, by developing various training courses for wildland firefighters.

To implement this program, at the La Amistad Conservation Area Pacificoperational structure exists, formed by the Regional Coordinating Fire Management Program, as well as responsible for this issue for each of Protected Areas.

 
 
 
The main functions of the Regional Coordination of the program focuses on coordinating efforts to prevent and combat forest fires enters the ACLA-P, ASPand SINAC, the representation of the COTENA ACLAP, monitoring the work plansfor fire management and project development financing to strengthen the capacity of the ACLA-P for fire management.
