Despite efforts to mitigate environmental degradation persist, however, the growing demand for goods and services on Natural Resources and the problems of the misuse of these in the production process. These elements coupled with population growth and changes in consumer habits, led to the creation by the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC), establish a framework which is geared to produce changes attitude in the population, in order to increase awareness and promote greater awareness about environmental problems.
The Control and Protection Program is the component within the structure of Conservation Area La Amistad Pacífico (ACLA-P), which seeks the principle of democratization under a change of attitude of the society for the prevention, protection and sustainable use control Natural Resources in general and cultural groups within and outside protected areas.
It aims to ensure compliance with technical and legal standards governing the prevention, protection, use and sustainable management of natural and cultural resources, promoting in turn an educational orientation that strengthens the overall development and reduce environmental crime, promoting behavior ethical and responsible people for the environment.
Lines of Action:

Develop guidelines, procedures that allow stakeholders to understand and implement the actions pertaining to the protection and control of natural resources.

To conduct regular monitoring and control of permits, licenses and authorizations granted in ACLA-P as well as dealing with complaints for environmental crimes.

Develop strategies for underrepresented ecosystem conservation, biological corridors, protected areas, buffer zones, wetlands, forests, wildlife, among others.

Comply with current environmental regulations and international conventions for the protection and control of Biodiversity.
